Adel’s Play N Discovery House is a B.C. licensed group child care centre for 2.5 to 5 years old which has the unique functions of both a play-based, Reggio Emilia inspired preschool and a warm loving home.
Our daily schedule of activities include fun science experiments, math & writing readiness activities, creative arts & crafts, yoga game and outdoor active play,. Our “circle” time includes story telling/reading; number and letter recognition; colors & shapes recognition, expressive language and action songs.
Our objective is to promote cognitive development, creativity, expressive language, gross and fine motor skills, gentle discipline and kindergarten readiness for our preschoolers. We offer the lower range of fees for group licensed childcare facilities in the Peninsula because we are passionate in delivering affordable yet quality early childhood program, inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach. The Reggio Emilia approach is an educational philosophy based on the principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration and discovery in a supportive and enriching environment based on the interests of the children through a self-guided curriculum.
Adel Play N Discovery House is owned and managed by a BC licensed Early Childhood and Special Needs Educator who has more than a decade of experience in the field of early childhood care and education. She is also a mother, an author, and formerly a professor, Dept. of Business Administration, College of Commerce, University of Santo Thomas in Manila. She also had successfully served the BC StrongStart Early Childhood Program, as a Facilitator.
