Canada 150 Oral History Project

Vancouver Island is full of stories. Some have our roots dating back to time immemorial, while others have only just arrived. Some of us are young with our whole lives ahead of us, while others are seniors with the wisdom and experiences of a lifetime.  As part of our Canada 150 celebrations, VIRL is traveling to communities and events up and down the Island to hear and record stories from the people who call Vancouver Island home. We want to tap into and curate the rich tapestry that is our Island, and celebrate the stories and histories that unite us all.
